Q&A With Jenny

  • When I look back at my most favorite professional experiences, they all share a common thread with the core elements of coaching: supporting others, thought leadership, learning and development, listening, unleashing potential…I could go on! I had an incredible experience working with a coach a number of years ago, and through our work together, I started to connect the dots between who I am, what I want to do and how I can create a bigger impact. It was like the stars aligned when I recognized I wanted to become a coach. As it often happens, life and work got busy, but the spark inside me had been lit and I thought about coaching nearly daily for almost 4 years. In 2020 when the world went into lockdown due to Covid-19, I had a really hard conversation with myself, asking why I was putting off my own dream of pursing this work. Looking at everything going on around us at that time, I could no longer ignore my inner voice telling me to take a risk and make a change. I started my coach training program in July 2020 and I never looked back!

  • Coaching lights me up inside! It sounds so simple, but it feels much deeper than that. For me, coaching feels like the intersection where my strengths meet my passions and my innate desire to help others and leave my mark on this world. I am inspired by the people I meet and want to support them to find their unique path to success, happiness, what’s next…whatever is driving them towards pursuing our work together. At my core, I believe everyone is capable of greatness. It is about understanding what that means to you, what that looks like for you, how that drives and motivates you. For some people that might be scaling the corporate ladder to the C-Suite. For others, it might be leaving a corporate career to pursue passion projects. If I can help someone reconnect with themselves in a way where they can see their unlimited potential and create a plan to go after that, I am honored to be a part of that journey.

  • My clients define success for themselves. Full stop. If I define success for a client, it becomes about me and not about them. Coaching is a partnership, and my role in the partnership is to help my clients define, design and work to achieve their goals. Perhaps for some, success comes from achieving everything they set out to do. For others, success is a byproduct of self-discovery and believing in oneself. Regardless of how a client defines success, I am here to support and honor that.

  • I live in Chicago with my amazing husband, our three hilarious children (all boys!) and our black lab, Mabel.

Food makes me immensely happy. I love cooking, dining out and exploring new places through food. When I travel (which I also love!), I feel really connected to a place and a culture through food and the experience of trying new things.

I love karaoke! If there’s a hot mic around…watch out.

Q&A With Elizabeth

  • My journey to coaching began with a desire to create a role that allowed me to do what I love most — connect with and support others — while still preserving the parts of stay-at-home parenting that I deeply cherish. For a long time, it felt like I was searching for a unicorn.

Then, in January 2024, I attended Future By Design with Jenny and Caroline Dowd-Higgins, and something clicked. It felt like the universe had placed a sign right in front of me. After the workshop, I connected with both Jenny and Caroline, and their warm encouragement gave me the clarity and confidence to keep following the thread of coaching.

Now, a year later, I’m completing my training with the Co-Active Training Institute and on my way to becoming an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation.

Most importantly, I’ve found a path that lights me up and feels deeply aligned with my purpose.

  • Coaching feels like home to me. When I’m in a coaching session, I enter a flow state — fully present, deeply connected, and energized. I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories and to creating space for others to reconnect with their authentic selves and move toward the lives they dream of.

One of the core principles of the Co-Active Coaching model is the belief that all people are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole. That resonates deeply with me. It’s a true privilege to witness someone step into their own wisdom and strength, and to walk alongside them as they begin to live in alignment with their unique purpose.

  • My clients define success for themselves. For each person, success carries its own unique meaning and vision — and that’s exactly how it should be.

If a client reaches a place of resonance and alignment with their values — if they feel more connected to who they truly are and are living in a way that reflects that — then that’s success in my eyes.

  • 1. I’m most proud of my family! My partner, Anil, and I have three wonderful, hilarious kids and two mischievous kittens who keep us on our toes.

    2. I love running outdoors and have been known to sign up for the occasional race. It’s one of the ways I find flow, especially with a 90’s R&B playlist in my ears!

    3. I absolutely love to travel and explore new places, but I’m a terrible trip planner. Thankfully, my husband is our unofficial family travel agent and he’s amazing at it!
